Adopt a healthy living style today to avoid heart-related diseases in future. Here are6 tips for a healthy heart to prevent heart disease -
Tip 1: Formulating a Healthy Diet
The first and foremost tip for a healthy heart is of course a healthy diet. Beware of what to be included and what not, in your daily diet. Eat more vegetables, fruits, whole grains, and low-fat protein sources, while limiting the intake of unhealthy fats and cholesterol. Also, watch the content of salt in your food, exceeding levels of which is one of the causes for heart diseases.
The amount of food that you eat is also as vital as what you eat. So, have a control on the amount of food intake, and avoid eating till you feel fully stuffed.
Tip 2: Exercise for at-least 30 Minutes Everyday
After a healthy diet, the next important thing is to exercise regularly for at least 30 minutes every day. This can bring down the risk of heart diseases to a great extent. When you blend physical activities with few more lifestyle changes like retaining a healthy weight, you can reap a greater payoff. Regular exercising is not only good for heart but also reduces the chance of being affected by other conditions that put a stress on heart, such as high cholesterol, diabetes, and high blood pressure.
Tip 3: Avoid Smoking and Usage of Tobacco Products
Smoking and usage of tobacco is one amongst the most important risk factors that contribute to developing heart diseases. The heart and blood vessels can get damaged due to the chemicals in tobacco, leading to heart diseases.
The good news for smokers who pledge to stop smoking is that the risk of heart disease reduces drastically within just a year of quitting. They can start reaping the benefits as soon as they quit smoking. Even if you’re unable to completely quit smoking, try to bring it down to maximum of 1 cigarette per day!
Tip 4: Go for Regular Health Screenings
High cholesterol and high blood pressure can cause damage to your heart and blood vessels. To know if you are facing these conditions, the only way out is to get regular health screenings. Get tests done for diabetes, blood pressure, and cholesterol levels regularly. This way, if you find any abnormal levels of any of these, you can take necessary steps to get them under control.
Tip 5: Maintain Appropriate Weight and BMR
Excess of weight can lead to situations that increase the chance of heart diseases. If you have too much of fat, particularly in the waist, your risk of heart disease, stroke, high cholesterol, diabetes, and high blood pressure increases, in turn leading to heart related risks. So, ensure that you maintain a proper weight.
Tip 6: Spend Some Time to Relax
In today’s scenario, it’s a very busy and fast-paced life for most of us. With such a schedule, the stress level increases to a great extent, thus increasing the risk of heart diseases. So, make sure that you dedicate some time every day to get away from the busy life and relax yourself, be it with a relaxed walk, reading books, yoga or anything that makes you feel relaxed.
Follow these tips and see what wonders they can do to your health.

Hello, how’s it going? Just shared this post with a colleague, we had a good laugh.
Incredible points. Sound arguments. Keep up the amazing work.
My father is still so young and he hasn’t any health issue, because he is non smoking, doing exercises daily and very careful when he takes diets.
Good advice but with my busy schedule I hardly get time to focus on these. I know it's really bad but I'm really stuck. I definitely am above BMR but I do have a higher muscle mass.
Useful info. Fortunate me I discovered your web site by chance, and I am surprised why this accident did not took place in advance! I bookmarked it.
These are really great tips but sadly in my busy life, I hardly get any time to exercise or relax.
I have to say this post was certainly informative and contains useful content for enthusiastic visitors. I will definitely bookmark this blog for future reference and further viewing. Thanks a bunch for sharing this with us!
